The Exmoor Trim & LRO Challenge 2010.

Land Rover Owner Magizing Challenge June 19th 8.00am
The Land Rovers start to arrive at Exmoor Trim one after the other until we have all 40 with us.

Exmoor Trim took up the challenge from those people at the LRO magazine to completely trim 40 Defender Land Rover front seats in any material choice that the lucky winners wanted to choose from our range. This was all to be done in under 5 hours.

Well we hit the start button and the 1st seat base was out and we were off. We came across a few problems with some seats not wanting to come out so we did these in situ! With 8 Land Rovers lined up at a time, two by two.

It was 30 minutes before the 1st pair of seats were done and everyone was thinking "they will never do it" but as production kicked into gear the seats were being installed one after the other. We had a break after 2.5 hours for a quick cuppa and a butty. Then the clock was off again and we still had 23 land rovers to go.

Land Rover Owner Magizing Challenge - End of the day. After 4 hours 32 minutes the bell went as we completed the last Land Rover, well within our time, with a cheer of absolute relief that we had done it.

Not to be repeated in a hurry!! A HUGE thank you to all our staff for giving up their Saturday and for looking after our guests so well. It couldn't have been done without you all.
A thank you also goes to the 40 winners for making some outstanding journeys from as far a field as Sterling & Doncaster and last but not least Mark Savill, Neil Watterson & Tom Critchell from the LRO Challenge team.

What a day!
Thank you, Julian Gostling
