Developed in-house for your non-ECU Defender, this complete kit includes 3 pre-programmed gauges, a custom wiring harness, a temperature sender unit, and easy to follow instructions so even novice mechanics can tackle this project in about an hour.
To install, simply swap the gauges, plug in the add-on wiring harness to the (previously installed Digital VDO Speedometer wiring harness), connect 2 sender wires, then tidy up any unnecessary wires leftover from the old gauges. Only install the supplied temperature sender if needed to correct the reading. 200Tdi will need a different sender, not included, PLN382VDO.
Exmoor Trim has computer-programmed each gauge to give you accurate readings, filter out unnecessary needle bounce, and display timely warnings lights.
Bonus: This gauge kit dramatically reduces the rat's nest of wires in your dash so the entire instrument cluster can be removed with just 4 connectors.
PLEASE NOTE:
-Right Hand Drive vehicles may need to change the steering column support mounting as some RHD vehicles (not all) the gauge plug contacts the support bar. This can be done with a longer bolt and some washers between the mount and the steering column support.
-Requires Speedometer kit (not included)
- 3.5L V8, 200Tdi and 2.5TD (19J) motors will need a different temperature sender, PLN382VDO, not included.
